New bra at only 5 weeks?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone needed to buy new bras yet or have any suggestions? "The girls" are already busting out and are so sore I already know I need more support stat! Any suggestions? I didn't expect to need one this soon. The last times I was pg - I didn't have sore breasts until 6 weeks I think, but I have been sore since before bfp!

 Thanks for the advice!

Re: New bra at only 5 weeks?

  • I grea 2 cup sizes from before my BFP to 6 weeks.  I waited until 7 weeks to buy new bras and was just uncomfortable b/c I wanted to see if they would plateau.  The appear to have stopped growing - I am 10 weeks now.

  • I bought new bras at 5 weeks.  My bbs were actually busting out by 4 weeks, and before I got a BFP.  They were looking weird under my shirts.  I got some stretchy ones from Gap Body that can naturally stretch up to another cup size...but thankfullly mine have taken a break from growing
  • That's when I got my first new one, at Motherhood. Went from a small B to D!

  • MIne got very big the first few weeks after BFP, but now it seems like they are back to normal? Maybe a little bigger.
  • My "normal" size is about a 36A. I asked my frien who has always been similar sized (a little bigger) to borrow a few of her pg bras since she's nursing right now. When I realized she gave me 38Cs I was sure they would be too big. I was wrong. My boobs have been enlarged since befor my BFP and seem to be continuing to grow. I think it's awesome. I've always wanted boobs! :)

  • Mine got HUGE.  By the time I was 5 weeks mine went from a 38dd to a 38G......They didn't get to that size until I was 8 weeks with my son but I now look like Dolly Parton!
  • I went to Target and found some that were 10$ so it doesn't matter how long I can wear them. I have a larger chest and finding them in DD made it even more difficult.
  • definitely go get a bra that fits...it makes such a big difference!

luckily, I had some that were bigger, from when I weighed more, and they fit again, w/o weight gain...my breasts started to fill in before I was 4 weeks....it was crazy...now that I'm 10 weeks, I'll probably go to the store soon to make sure I don't need to go up again, even though the biggest ones I own are passable.

Of course, I think a good bra is always worth it!  I want my breast tissue taken care of as much as I can.  Once I found a store that does quality fittings, there is no going back!

  • Tell me about it! I look slightly disproportioned! I'm 5"4 about 122lbs and I just had to get a 36DD over the weekend and I'm almost 6 weeks. I can't believe how big they are! They are so sore as well. Love the new Victoria Secrets bras. They are cotton, with no underwire. So comfy!

  • I didn't buy a new bra but I did get bra extenders to allow for the expansion of my rib cage.
  • O no! I don't like the sounds of that at all...Im a ddd already!eeeek
  • Thanks to everyone for the advice! I think I will check out some new ones this weekend. :)
