NBR: s/o Super Bowl food...

I need ideas!  I'm making Cincinnatti chili (2 day ridiculous recipe) but am stumped about everything else.  What are you all making??

  • I want some 7 layer taco dip, so that's what I'm making.

  • Jalapeno Cheddar cornbread is my fav with Chili...we haven't finalized our menu yet, but will for sure do some sort of potato skins, jalapeno artichoke dip and deviled eggs!
  • We are hosting a Super Bowl party for DH's rugby team, so we will likely have A LOT of people.  We are doing hot dogs on the grill, nachos, coleslaw, and potato salad. We asked everyone to bring something (totally standard practice with the team) so hopefully we will have a lot of yummy appetizers and desserts.
  • We ALWAYS have chips and queso!!! Velveeta and Rotel! Nothing fancy, but so delicious!
  • Buffalo Chicken Dip is a football must.

I use a mini crock pot but you can also cook on the stove.

    I use:

    2 packages of cream cheese

    1 cup of ranch

    1 cup of shredded cheese

3/4 - 1 cup (depending on how spicy you want it) Frank's Hot Sauce

I can of chicken (I use a fork to shred the chicken)

Put all together and let heat up to mix.  It's great to dip with tortilla chips or celery.

    It's delicious.  :)

PLEASE...PLEASE send me some! Cincinnati Chili is my absolute FAV! I need to just get off my lazy ass and make some but that requires cooking, haha.

    Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Here it is, but WARNING: This chili is SOO ridiculously time consuming at first, but it is OMG good.  I just found it online, this guy is a chili genius.  I made it for our last football game and it was completely gone. Serve with spaghetti.  Kids love it too b/c it's sweet.  Follow the recipe to the letter.

  • Everything!  I'm huge on the Super Bowl (GO COLTS!) and huge on the snacks!  I used to host the party but this year it will be at DH's aunts house. She is an excellent party host so we'll have the works I'm sure.  Meatballs, little smokies, shrimp cocktail, pizza, etc etc.. I can't wait!
