Love & luck to my 3TC girls. Congrats to Omega-The boys are here!
If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.
After 2 years & 2 losses, our little man arrived 8-2011.

You paid for delivery/installation , correct? If so, I wouldn't tip.

Me neither. I raised my eyebrow at your question and thought, "really? You're supposed to tip them?"
::shrugs::
This, exactly. It has never occurred to me to tip for installation/delivery of things like home appliances (pizza guy? yes dishwasher? No)
this actually cracked me up. wouldn't you think it would be the opposite? the pizza guy stood at your door and handed you a pizza. the appliance guy lugged in a dishwasher (up any stairs?), possibly removed the old one, and hooked it up (water/electric)and pushed it back in below the counter.

This I agree with you completely. DH says we have to tip people for their efforts. DH was a server at a restaurant to get through college so he is very giving when it comes to a service like this.. I don't understand how people don't tip. I'm amazed to see so many ladies say no.
Re: Would you tip the dishwasher installer guy?
I wouldn't think to tip him, either.

No, I wouldn't. Maybe if he loaded the dishwasher for me while he was at it
Aren't you too busty to tip him?

LOL
I think I will prolly be the minority on this one, but that's okay.
IMO if somebody provides a service and they do a good job I generally tip them.
I think most people wouldn't tip him though, so if you decide not to I don't think he'll think anything of it.

With tips the size of mine, I don't have any to spare.

I definitely understand that but he's already getting paid $140!
I'd do $10 per person if they had to lug the thing in and then get it all hooked up and then lug out an old one.
:::dies::: you win

Did you pay that much for delivery and are you sure it's going to him?
Yeah, $140 for installation and you're probably right - not all going to him.
Meh, I'd probably tip him.
Haha, Yeah, i would tip him if he loaded mine.

You know, I don't know! I'll ask DH
I think the point is moot as I don't think DH has any cash at home
