Gro-Baby Diapers?

I think I am ready to start using cloth diapers and thought I wanted the Bumgenius but am now leaning towards the grobaby.  I will probably end up doing the trial pack from Jillians but was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Gro Baby diapers and how they like them?  Thanks!

Re: Gro-Baby Diapers?

  • I hear the poo can get caught in the mesh...ewww :) flip diaper is a similar concept though...maybe look at those too, they are a bit cheaper as well

  • I did the diaper trial and thought I would LOVE Grobaby...  Turns out, I did not like it at all.  The concept is awesome, but the system didn't work out for us.  You're supposed to be able to snap in a soaker and snap it out when wet and only replace the covers twice per day.  Not so for us...  The soaker would leak and get on the cover and voila! we had to replace the cover at every change.  Too bad the concept didn't come to reality better.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the BG diapers though and they were ultimately the only ones I kept from the trial.  I also ordered a TON more BG for my stash.  They are going to be the bulk of my CDs.

    HTH!

I've only used the Flip diapers, but these are my thoughts, too.  We use the disposable Flip inserts with our regular BG dipes when DD needs thick diaper cream.  The inserts are too thin and the poop slips around the edges to get on the diaper cover.  It's rare that we're able to just replace the insert without throwing the cover into the laundry, too.

IMO, you come into more contact with poop with diapers like GroBaby, Flip or gDiapers.  For me (and for daycare), it's much easier to just pull off the diaper, throw it in the wet bag and put on a new diaper.
