I heard about the constipation, but didn't expect not pooping for several days in a row.
This. And for it to be so miserably painful when you actually go.
The constant "discharge"

Same med protocol as last time, but heparin continued until delivery.
BFP #5 - 3/30/14, EDC 12/10/14!!
Beta #1-76 (12dpo), Beta #2-238 (14dpo)
Acne - I'm suddenly like a teenager!
Constipation - So frustrating and uncomfortable!
Crying for no reason - Not "gross" per say but absolutely ridiculous. I cry at anything and everything!
This. And the fact that I don't always know when it's coming. Especially in public places!
I don't know if this counts as "gross", but when I read about all of the things that this baby is sapping out of my body, it seems like some little leeching organism in there (and that's exactly what it is). Everyone tells you your body is never the same after a baby, and I assumed this just applied to muscle tone and boobs. Um, no. The freakiest thing that I learned was that if I'm not getting enough calcium each day, the baby will actually suck it out of my BONES. Nice. If that's not part of the plot for another "Alien" movie, what is??
The gas is horrible. It also weirds me out that the pimple-like things on my nipples are already secreting oils/lubricant. Yep, that's right, my boobs are lubing themselves up for breastfeeding already. They constantly feel like I just applied lotion to them or something. Apparently it also helps to fend off bacteria. I'm amazed by what my body is doing, but a little freaked out as well that I'm not even in my second trimester and my body already feels officially taken over.
Me too! Eeeek! Today is the first day I haven't had it!
omg the constipation is brutal. it usually causes me to cry. going to pick up a fiber supplement today.
and i cannot sleep. there is no position of comfort. i had trouble sleeping before, so i would take melatonin on a rough night, and there were quite a few rough nights before i knew that i am pregnant. i have since stopped taking it - and have stopped sleeping.
the acne too!!! i was just about to start taking my pill again (after i got my period - but it never came!!) because i got so disgusted over my skin. bought a new face wash - it helps a little.
A constant post nasal drip. UGH! It's making me crazy. Everything tastes like crap, the back of my tongue feels like it's coated with a world of nasty (even though I brush my teeth AND my tongue twice daily despite gagging) and I feel like I'm perpetually trying to blow my nose (although nothing comes out after the morning yuckies). Sorry if TMI!
Of course, there's the gas. . .

Gross:
(i) constipation lasting for days and resulting in hemmorhoids;
(ii) the prune juice you need to drink to get rid of the constipation;
(iii) burping - I never burp and now I am like a teenage boy;
(iv) night sweats due to crazy dreams
(v) extra saliva all over my pillow when I wake up from those dreams.
Gas that could make a trucker blush.
Waking up a dozen times a night with vivid dreams.
Constipation...and the fact that when I finally do poop...the smell of it makes me throw up because of my morning sickness. It's a lovely scene.

Horrendous, cystic acne. I teach high school and I am, by far, the zittiest kid in class.
Gas that makes ME have to clear the room.
That my poop would suddenly become monster-sized. I have actually cried (and bled) while "giving birth" to it.
Discharge so heavy it actually dripped onto my feet when I was pregnant with #1. I thought my water broke and went to the doctor. Embarrassing!!!
At the very end of pregnancy #1, my "girl parts" swelled up SO big that I could barely move my legs around them to walk. The skin got so stretched out that the area was completely numb. For weeks. Probably didn't help that I sat up in bed all day on bedrest, but still...
Hemmorroids.
With #1, I developed a red, itchy, peeling rash on my cheeks. Now, with #2, I seem to have the same rash on my lips. Every morning I have to peel them off and I keep them slathered in Chapstick, yet they still burn.
Fun stuff, but all SO worth it when that baby arrives.

That in 2nd tri, your snail trail becomes so profound that it will literally glue your thong to your butt.
yeah. this is why pregnant women wear granny-panties.
because that precious, dainty, sexy little thong that your husband loves becomes Public Enemy Number One after the first time you practically need pliers to de-cake it from your butt cheeks.

oh, & that you can become so swollen that you get stretch marks on your feet.
like little harry potter-esque lightening bolts, minus the magic wand & heroic glory.
