Why is it???

That everytime I finally find some baby item I like it has to be the most expensive item listed?????

This is the stroller I fell in love with (DH requested no pink or girly stuff as he will be a SAHD during the day and he has to push it around) And then I saw the price compared to the others.... gaaaa

    I agree.  I feel bad for my registry.  I am trying to buy as much as possible also, though I know this baby will be spoiled at the same time and I should not worry.  So difficult.  Have you checked out Amazon?  They have awesome sales on Gender Neutral strollers, etc.

    Can you splurge on one more expensive item and go a little more thrifty on everything else.  That's how I would justify it to dh.

    lol I am the same way! The one and only time I saw a crib set that I instantly fell in love with.. price $350! umm nope, cant do that, lol

    I haven't... do you have to pay alot for shipping such a large item??

    We got lucky and got a brand new crib given to us about 3 months ago. When hurricane Ike came through our town in 08, my good friend's house completely flooded and they lost everything. They had just had their 6th baby 2 weeks before the storm so we gave them every piece of baby furniture we had. So we are starting from scratch with this baby. I will prolly have a shower for this reason but I wanna get the big things ourselves.

    This is exactly how I am with dresser/changing table. I found one I LOVE but I'm not crazy about the cost. I dont want cheap stuff bc I want it to last through this child and possibly another one but I cant make myself to pay for something horribly $$

    The crib I want is too big for my apartment and is $500. yesterday, a friend of a friend offered us her crib, which she will store until july and then take back whenever we're done with it. Fantastic, right? No. the crib is 23 years old. It's wood, and her daughter who's 2 slept in it with no problems... but I worry about slat width and things!

    the travel system I want is $349. The playyard, $300. Why, oh WHY can I not be independantly wealthy?

    What stroller are you getting?  I didn't want to tell DH the price of ours either (I handle all the bills, so he would have no clue) but my MIL ended up buying it for us.  I still didn't want to tell him though b/c he would think it was crazy.
