Seriously, what the &%#* is wrong with BRU

I am sooooo frustrated!!  Almost everything I have reigstered for or want is out of stock.  I don't get it.  I guess most of my business will be going to Target.  Seriously, they suck.  AAAANNND  this is like the 2nd time in 3 weeks I have tried to update and add stuff to the BRU registry.  I hate them.  Ok, I feel better now.

    Right now is a bad time to register anywhere. Stores are liquidating their stock through January and the new things will comein Febuary. Take a deep breath and wait a week or so :D

    My friend and I were there the other day to update both of our registries and noticed that a lot of their stuff is gone.  We both were kind of bummed because I'm sure people who go there to buy a gift get frusturated.

    I had the same concern about BRU about 2 weeks ago.  DH and I put a bunch of stuff on the registry then checked a couple days later and a ton of it was "temporarily out of stock".  Little by little more of the stuff is in stock now.  I would wait and see what happens over the next week or so.

    Yes I hate BRU too.  They never have anything I want or need.  I don't know about you but in Tulsa there is only 1 BRU, the next closest is in OKC which is 2 hours away.  You think they'd order more since they have to service all of Tulsa!  UGH!  I completely agree with you.

    BRU sucks. I mean really sucks. Their customer service alone is why I'm boycotting.

    Hence another reason why I didn't register there.  I heard so many negative things about them.  I registerd at Buy Buy Baby since there is 3 near us.  I had a really great experience with Bed Bath and Beyond for our wedding registry.  They never gave me any issues with returns, even when I went to return stuff 6 months to a year later, since we never used it.  And since they own Buy Buy Baby you can use their coupons there as well as their gift cards.  Which is good for us, since we get coupons all the time from Bed Bath and we have a few gift cards left over from our wedding and can now use them to buy baby stuff at Buy Buy Baby!

    I used to work for a Toys R Us with a BRU express in it, and I feel like I should clarify whats going on. When TRU and BRU are getting new stock they take inventory, and they send stuff back and then stock it with the same new stuff, and also, the TRU and BRU websites are there own store, I always got many questions about that, the websites have their own prices and their own stock, but the whole out of stock thing is if you are checking for a specific store. I hope that helps, yeah I know TRU and BRU are somewhat frusterating but it happens.

    I'd rather do Buy Buy Baby, but they don't carry some of the brands that I want. So, BRU it is for now. My car seat and high chair is currently out of stock, but my shower isn't for awhile so I'm not worried yet. However I am having second thoughts about BRU...

    BRU has some pretty big sales going on right now, that could be why so much is temporarily out of stock, also they are probably changing over their stock for the new year.  I agree the PP that if you wait about a month, things will settle down and most of the stuff should be back in stock.  This tends to happen at a lot of stores.  It is one of the reasons why I will be waiting till mid Feb to create my registry.

    Damn. I was hoping registering at BRU would be better cuz Target discontinued a bunch of the stuff I registered for :( Now I just don't know!
