We took a small trip at 20 weeks. We drove up the coast from San Diego to Carmel/Monterey, which was an 8 or so hour drive. It would have been fabulous if that hadn't been the weekend that my kidney issue kicked in.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

Oh, Kim.... I remember that weekend

I guess we sort of did but I never really thought of it as a 'babymoon'... essentially that's what it was though.. one last weekend alone to relax before the baby came.
We packed the big kids up and sent them to my IL's for a whole weekend when I was 38 weeks pregnant.. I went to one of those "pregnancy" spas and had a facial and a pedi.. we stayed in a spectacular hotel one night (hello king size bed and giant tub with jets - it was SOO relaxing and wonderful with as close to the end as I was!!). The other night we slept at home and rented movies. Both nights we went out to really nice restaurants that we don't usually get to go to since they're not places you take children.
It was a really nice weekend. We obviously stayed really close to home though because I could have easily gone into labor (truthfully I was hoping to
We went to St. Augustine, FL before DS1 was born. I wanted to go somplace warmer than where we live (we went in Jan), but wanted to go someplace in the US.
We went to the Outer Banks for a week when I was 21 or 22 weeks. It wasn't an official babymoon - we went with a group of friends and it coincided with our anniversary, but I had a ton of fun and I am so glad we had a chance to get away!

We went to Tampa when I was 15 weeks away(it was a 2 1/2 hour plane ride.) Then we went on a family vacation when I was 20 weeks. It was a 10 hour car drive, but we took frequent breaks so it wasn't that bad.

We did, although it was more coincidence than anything I think. We typically go somewhere each summer anyway, but we made sure we did this last summer. We went to Florida, via plane. Remember, this was when I was supposed to go to NYC for a visit but I changed my mind and wanted to get to the beach one last time:)
It wasn't as stress free as I'd hoped though. I freaked a bit being far from home/my doc.

We did for DD1. We went to Gatlinburg, TN for a 4 day weekend. It's about a 5 hour drive from where we live so it wasn't too bad.
We didn't have time to do one with DD2's early arrival. We were going to let her spend the night with the grandparents and do something close to home but it didn't work out that way.
We are going next week! We are going to Costa Rica but staying at a resort-nothing in the jungle:) Its actually for a friends wedding but we are extending the stay to have a couple days for ourselves. I was not ever someone who would plan one but now I am THRILLED we are doing it.
Nope my babymoon funds went towards IVF, then H got laid off (he quickly found a new job), and then I was on bed rest so there was no time for one.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

almost 3 weeks in Trinidad & Tobago, Curacao, (Suriname, if you want to count the night on the airport floor b/c the air tower was being naughty) and Puerto Rico.
I was around 22 months.
We had a blast. But then again, we live to roam. ;-)

No, I was in the hospital and then strict BR. We weren't really planning anything big anyways, but it still sucked to have this option (like so many others during my pregnancy) taken from me/us.
We went to Vegas last time, pretty early on, as an anniversary trip/babymoon. I was afraid to travel too far due to potential complications with twins.
If I am lucky enough to get pregnant this IVF, we already have a family trip to Maui booked for March and will be going on a second HM in July. That second HM would also be a babymoon, and would be dependent on how things looked at that point (early 20 weeks). We're thinking another Hawaii trip to keep US medical care and relatively short flight times.
My FIL is sending us to Fl. I'm not sure that Disney is a relaxing vaca before baby and probably not the greatest place for a pregnant women but beggers can't be choosers.
TTC since 05
Dh diagnosed with azoospermia. Unsuccessful reconstructive surgery in 07-08.
IVF w/ ICSI #1: BFP! 1 strong heartbeat and 1 lost twin @ 2nd U/S...bittersweet
We did! We went to Jamaica (at the same resort we honeymooned at) for 10 days. I was 23 weeks so I looked pregnant, but still pretty small. It was a great time to travel
We travel a lot. When I was pregnant, we went to Seattle, San Diego, Dallas a few times, and Las Vegas. We didn't call any of it our "babymoon" though, so I guess I will say no. I flew several times and it wasn't a problem.
We're definitely going somewhere, just not sure where. DH & I are big travelers so it's a no-brainer. The problem is, when we travel, we usually backpack our way through a country and I doubt we'll do that this time

21-22 weeks on a cruise to the soutern caribbean. Flew from DC to San Juan and went to 5 ports from there. A little hectic, but I have had a fab pregnancy and wouldn't trade any of it. I def recommend getting away, but given your m/s, perhaps something closer to home. I say go for it.

We might do a 4 day cruise... however this was an idea before I got pregnant. DH is turning 30 and I'll be 29 within 2 weeks of each other- so instead of a party we might do a trip.
Married 8.13.2005, M/C 12/8/06- 5 weeks, M/C 2/27/07- 7 weeks, M/C w/ D&C 8/10/09-6.5 weeks *Charles Lawrence born 5/2/08 @ 3:14am, 7lb 8oz, 20.5 inches. Clomid, Crinone and baby aspirin. *Alexandra Claire born 9/14/10 @ 9:52am 6lb 14oz, 20.5 inches. Femara, Crinone and baby aspirin.
I think I would have tried to do something if I weren't high risk. I got put on modified bed rest at 20 weeks, so that made it an easy decision not to do anything. But I would have loved to do a weekend away - probably somewhere close. Another factor too in additon to the bed rest is that we are trying to sell our current place and bought a new house, so unfortunately we have too much going on (time & money-wise)
No, because I'm high risk. I don't think we would have last time either because we were so freaked out about saving money in the face of expecting twins. Also, if we're really being honest , most of our trips center around eating and drinking, which are either off limits or have lost their appeal.
We're planning on going on one, just a weekend trip and within driving distance. We're thing DC/Baltimore in the spring, or a trip up to Boston haven't decided. Also depends how the finances are by then.
We have had plenty of baby free vactions and I have been so looking forward to family vactions, but now that the time is here and I realized it is going to be a long time before we can get away for a weekend alone, we're going for it!
Forever in our hearts

After 4yrs, 5 IUI's, 2 IVF's, 2 FET's, PGD, and 5 losses our little miracle is finally here!
I've tried to go on one TWICE! The first time I was pg we planned a trip to Grand Caymen and I had a m/c 3 weeks before our trip (we still went and had a great time). With dd we didn't go anywhere. With this past pg we planned a trip to St. John (USVI) and I should have been around 20 week pg but once again I lost the baby but we're still going on the trip.
If I ever get pg again I WON'T be planning a babymoon...we seem to have better luck without one.
Clomid M/C 8 weeks 2/08 *IVF #1-DD born 3/09
*Surprise BFP-T18 baby lost at 13w 1/10 *FET #1-DS born 2/11
We are just going for a night or two back to our college town to hang out. We love shopping there and reminiscing. It's only 40 min. from where we live. We just weren't comfortable with a babymoon - too paranoid.
Also, we sort of took our "babymoon" to Colorado when we went for our ER and FET!

We are going to Bermuda for a weekend wedding in May and I think that will be it. We went to Bermuda for our honeymoon and LOVE it but everything on that island is SUPER expensive.
I also am anticipating traveling home to MA and NYC a bit. And if DH gets a new job in NJ then who knows what we will be doing??!!
I don't know. I kind of doubt it. I'm supposed to stop flying at the end of april, and before that time, I have several work trips and my husband has two of his own. So, no clue how we'd fit it in. But I wish. A cruise would maybe be cool.

Hey Kelly,
We went to Aruba when I was about 25 weeks. It was the summer and I was off of work. Definitely was nice to get away. hope you are feeling better:)
