I was initially going to the Vanderbilt Midwife Clinic, but they won't see me anymore because I'm having twins. I'm in a transitional period and don't really have a Dr. We have an appointment for an ultrasound on Feb. 10th and I'll be 17 weeks then. One of the nurses at the Clinic said that it might be easier to find out the sex of the babies at 17 weeks, because they are still free to move around and get a good look.
I'm wondering when other people found out if they were having boys or girls? I know 20 weeks is usually recommended with singletons. I'm also thinking that there might be room for error around 17 weeks and even if they tell us what they think we're having if we should wait to tell family.
Re: When did you find out the sex for twins?
One twin was very obvious at 17weeks, but they really weren't sure about the other one. At 21 weeks they confirmed the 2nd was a girl. I think it really depends on the dr and the babies positions.
u/s tech guessed at 16 weeks -- confirmation at 21 weeks
