So I am still really early, and am pretty tiny..HOWEVER...I think I already have a tiny bump!!! It's crazy. Right under my belly button it is sticking out more than normal..and differently than normal. Would I be showing THIS early??? Or am I just gaining weight since I havent been on my normal healthy diet? Just wondering if this happened to any of you??

You're bloated. I had it too at 8 weeks.
Even considering that you're small, you still probably won't "show" to others until 16ish weeks.
this! bloat or baby, rock it! Everytime DH would feel my tummy, I'm not gonna be like, actually that's dinner from 3 nights ago. It's a result from the baby, so Its a baby bump. Your uterus is slowly rising pushing everything else up.
If you consider poop and water weight a baby bump, then yes, I guess so. But most people don't. So I guess it depends on your definition of a "baby bump".
Most people get excited about baby bumps because they are a sign the baby is getting big enough to push your belly out. A baby the size of a raspberry isn't pushing this womans belly out, no matter how tiny she is.
Either way, let her get excited about it , she isn't hurting anyone.
She asked a question... I answered her the way most doctors would: at 8 weeks it's most likely bloat.
You just love to tell people what they want to hear.
Amen. Why does it really matter...?
You sure have me figured out don't you. Try guess what number I'm thinking of right..... now! GO
But seriously, when I had bloat, I didn't care if it wasn't the baby, it was a pregnancy symptom , and It was a preview of what was to come. I would take any change in my body and associate as a good thing and it reminded me that the pregnancy was progressing.
OK, well that's you. This person was genuinely curious if it was the baby. We told her no, not likely. Of course bloat is a symptom of pregnancy. But is that bump she has because her baby is causing her stomach to protrude? No. Therefore, I don't think most people would consider it a "baby bump" (as you said above). Most people acknowledge a difference between bloat and bump and I was explaining that difference.
My thoughts exactly. Some of you people need to stop being so bloody condescending. Answer her question, sure, but don't talk down to her as if you're the expert on her body.
