Dental Hygiene FAIL!

in 1st Trimester

Every time I brush my teeth I puke.  And then have to brush them again. 

This sucks!

    Ugh.  I do that too.  It is the worst.  I told my dentist about it when I was pregnant with G and he said to just do my best.  Try using less toothpaste - that helps a little.  Hang in there!

    Carson Henry, born 39w, 2d, via emergency c/s due to no fetal movement and fetal distress.  Seizures, IVH grade 2, brain injury, kidney and liver damage.  Complete blood clot in the artery in his right arm.  27 days in the NICU.  Now discharged from all specialists, excepts his kidney doctor, who will monitor him indefinitely.  My tough little cookie.

    Have you tried a different flavor of toothpaste?  When I was pregnant with DD, I couldn't use mint, but I could use other flavors.  Tom's of Maine has a good assortment.  GL!

    I also started to recommend Tom's of Maine (or just plain baking soda) OR....Just plain toothbrush and water.  Honestly, do your very best.  I didn't, and got a cavity, and they couldn't work on it until after DS was born.  Not the ideal situation.  

    Can you still floss?  Try to, if you can.  My dentist said if only I had flossed, even a couple times a week, things wouldn't have gotten so bad.

    I know it's hard.  Hang in there!

    I just tried less tooth paste and that seemed to work better (I only thought I was going to puke, I didn't actually do it!  Horray!). 

    I'm off to run errands so new flavored tooth paste has been put on the list, hopefully that will help!

    I also think my electric tooth brush could be part of the problem so I'm going to pick up a regular one today too.
