and realized that I am not seeing my Dr the next time I go in for my appointment. I am hoping that my Dr is just on vacation or something and they are not just switching it up on me. The doctor I will be seeing has great ratings as far as I have heard and found, but I was very selective in finding a woman doctor. Maybe this is their way of preparing me just in case a male delivers my child....but I have to say I am freaking out a bit right now...

I wouldn't worry about it. My last appointment, I had a different doc and she was very thorough and had obvioulsy read up on my history before she even came in the room so she didn't have to ask questions the other doc already knew answers to.
Also, as far as a male doc goes, like pp said, you probably won't be getting an internal right now so no worries there and even if that were the case, there's always a nurse in the room and you've got nothing to worry about. Little weird if you've never had a male doc 'down there' but its all ok. Just think about LO and you'll be fine.
And in my case, I'm moving next month, not only do I have to see a new doc, but a whole new practice and set of nurses, etc. Daunting but managable.

Good luck with the new doctor.
My last appointment my Doctor got a little bit upset because I wanted to do the quad screen, but told her I would refuse the amnio if anything came back abnormal. That really seemed to bother her, and she basically said "Then we won't do the quad screen". She wasn't her normal self, but i brushed it off thinking she was having a bad day or something.
Then I saw they scheduled me with another Dr. Like I said, I am more than likely hormonal and over-reacting, but just more or less venting to others in the same position and state I am currently in. Thanks for listening!
