Apt Hunting

in 2nd Trimester

I'm going apartment hunting in the morning.

Keep your fingers crossed that we can find a wheelchair accessible apt for under $1,600/mo (cheapest I've found for 2brm was $2,400). 

in-house washer & dryer would be an added bonus! I really wanna move before the end of feb. I'm like, AAAAHHH!

    thats what I'm hoping. :]

    I am going to see one place that I know has services on site that are NOT accessible. since I can't use them, I'm going to see if reducing rent (so I'm also not paying to use them) would be an option...

    Good luck! Hope you find a quieter place than the place we just moved into to make room for baby. Nothing but dogs barking, kids screaming , doors slamming , and a really loud washer next door that sounds like they put a bowling ball in it! and all for 1200 (most expensive in the area and not worth a penny)

    Wow, it's amazing how much the cost of living differs from one area of the country to another. We live in the panhandle of Florida and DH's grandfather has a 2/2 wheelchair accessible apartment for $750. It's a brand new unit too, 1000sf.

    sometimes it's the quiet neighbors ya gotta watch out for... I"m currently in elderly housing cuz of the accessible unit. its the clouds of marijuana smoke in the hallways coming out of 80 year olds apts I watch out for! haha! yes, I'm serious!

    I"ve been searching for a YEAR!!! My electric where I"m at has not functioned properly in 25 months (yes, I'm in legal complaint with the landlord) thus blowing any electronic I plug in. it's cost me thousands and my health insurance over $100,000 in damages to my medical equipment and hospitalizations directly because of equipment failure.

    I seriously cannot safely bring a baby to this home. its a fire hazard.

    babies require too much stuff that needs power! monitors, breast pumps, swings, etc. I"d be so screwed!!! (not that I'm not already, but yeah!!)
