Birthday party help! Monkey theme

I know Im early but Im a planner!

Im planning a monkey themed bday party for DD and was looking for any sites, suggestions, ideas etc.

It will be in the beginning of June-outside in my in laws backyard (which is on a bay..with a rock backyard, not grass) I was thinking of lining a small tent that we have with grass skirts, hanging monkeys inside it, doing BBQ food, monkey cupcakes and banana cookies. There will be 2 kids there so kids stuff isnt necessary.

ALSO, since DD wont have milk (she has an allergy and I want to wait until past 1yr old) Im wondering if anyone has ideas for a cake I can make just for her that is milk and wheat free. TIA!!

ANY ideas are appreciated!

IDK, but Gymboree has monkey-themed outfits, so maybe that would be an outfit idea? Sounds like a cute theme!

Lots of cute stuff. We are doing the monkey theme, primarily sock monkey. There is great stuff on etsy too.

There is so much stuff just google - monkey birthday party or sock monkey birthday party theme (there is a great blog that pops up with that one where you will see stuff that was made by an etsy seller).

Hey, I am also planning my son's June birthday party so planners unite! ) I was going to do monkeys but changed it up. Here is a site that I believe is milk & wheat free b/c it was for a gluten free diet (Sorry, I don't know how to make it clicky):

My SIL made a applesauce cake for my niece when she turned 1. She had milk allergies and that worked great for her. I Googled it and found lots of links to recipes.
