Toddlers: 24 Months+

Come on ladies! FFFC?!?!....

I can't believe I just back from class, it's almost 3:00 on a Friday...and there's not a FFFC thread yet!

Let's hear those confessions!...

Re: Come on ladies! FFFC?!?!....

  • Only flammable because I am actually supposed stay late and hang up signs in the neighborhood around our school for the upcoming election...

I'm going to sneak out of work early and go to Victoria's Secret to pick up something trashy to wear for DH tonight.  We haven't had sexy time in WAY TOO long, and he's getting grumpy about it.

  • Last Monday night DH had to go out to dinner with a vendor for work.

Cole and I absolutely had cereal for dinner that night.  Embarrassed

  • We went out to dinner last night and DS was fussy.  I didn't want to have to go over to the bathroom to change his diaper so I changed him in the booth.  I put the diaper off to the side and finished getting my DD ready to go and DS.  We got and home and I remembered that I left the dirty diaper on the seat of the booth.
  • I have been potty training DD and I really have been lazy about it, and I swear if I was more motivated she might be.  My problem is I am just not sure that she is really ready for it!  I mean she tells me when she goes and everything after the fact and she knows what pee-pee is, but she just isn't getting the association of pee-pee really goes in the potty, even when it is running down her leg!  I am ready to throw in the towel and give up but she has been in panties the past three days and it is getting a little bit better each day.  Maybe it is just my own frustrations and I really shouldn't give up, or maybe she just really isn't ready.  I don't know!

  • DS has been confused and flipping back and forth between a big boy bed and crib. It makes me so sad b/c he gets all upset and cries that he wants one, then the other, etc. So, I have been not even offering the big boy bed to him for naps and just putting him in his crib. I feel bad b/c I feel like Im taking the easy way out and holding him back :-(
  • I am leaving work a little early to go buy a pair of jeans I've been eyeing. I have a gift card that covers most of them, so that's ok, right? tee hee.
  • We were supposed to go to SIL's tomorrow  1-6 for BBQ to hang with the nephew and let him swim with the girls, etc.. (HER in laws are in town from NY- no real relation to us or anything)....Find out yesterday he has baseball pics then practice and a soccer game at 4 prob til 6 so hes not even going to be there.....  So after hearing that info we decide to let the girls nap at 1 like normal and wake whenever so we prob wont get there till around 4 now....upon which she asks if we can send the brownies and spinach dip with FIL since were going later..... WTF??  You want me to send food for a gathering im not even going to until for sure all that will be gone......  Maybe its just annoying me cause she changed plans last min and its HER lol
  • I am so unhappy with my current weight, yet I made triple chunk brownies two days ago, and have almost eaten the entire pan :(

Ooh -- don't feel bad about this!  I've been there, trust me!  There's no "holding him back" when it comes to switching beds.  Really -- the longer you can keep a kiddo in the crib without danger, the better, IMO.

"Moving to a big bed" isn't a meaningful developmental milestone!!

If he's not doing well in the bed and you still have the crib set up -- right back in the crib, I say.

  • I haven't taken a shower today.  It's not even like I was pressed for time.  I just didn't feel like it.  I stink.

And, it's 5:08 pm and I'm drinking a beer AND a diet coke.

Ugh, I know how you feel.  My New Year's resolution was to cut back on sweets and allow myself one dessert splurge per week.  That went really well for the first three weeks of the year, but this past week has been all downhill.  I made a big pan of brownies last night and just ate two after lunch.

Also, DD is napping and I should really be doing homework, but I'm on the nest instead.  I'm sleepy and can't get motivated!

  • The "OMG - my LO hasn't STTN in 3 days...Help!" posts annoy me.

Yes, I understand that when you're going through it, it sucks.  But my son stopped STTN 6 months ago.  I can count on two hands (with several fingers to spare) how many times over the last 6 months he's actually slept an entire night in his crib and didn't wake up screaming bloody murder.

I don't mind the nights when he goes right back to sleep when we put him in our bed, but the latest thing is that he wants to rub his hands up and down my arms, shove his hands under my armpits, touch my face, etc.  It drives me insane and I try and get him off of me, but he won't fall asleep unless he's touching me.  This lasts an hour (or more) until he finally goes back to sleep.  So, I just can't have sympathy for someone who hasn't gotten a full night's sleep in a few nights when I haven't had one in 1/2 of a year

Any yet, I know there are those whose LOs didn't STTN until 12-18 months, so others have had it worse than me.  But a few nights of bad sleep in the grand scheme of things is nothing.

  • DD got a hot dog and mac & cheese for dinner.  I didn't slice the hot dog sideways, just into little circles.  She won't touch them otherwise.

I'm acting like cooking for tomorrow's party is harder than it is while DH gives DD a bath when really it's easy and I'm on the computer instead.

  • My house is a disaster and I want DH to go back to work. He's been home for 3 weeks, our routine is totally destroyed, and I'm not getting anything done because I feel like I should be spending time with him. (He's usually working OOT at least 4 days/week.)

  • Well, it's Saturday but I was away from the laptop yesterday so I'm giving my FFFC today:)

MIL and both SILs are going to Mexico for vacation and they leave on Monday.  One of the SILs keeps checking the weather and it's suppose to rain almost the whole time they're there.  I'm secretly happy about that because both SILs have been bragging about their trip on FB and it's irritating.
