Thanks ladies... I realize how message board communities work and I was avoiding going to another board because I know how rude people can be. I know I asked a stupid question, but I'm allowed to be hopeful/delusional. People have gotten preganant that quickly before. I'm asking questions because I'm trying to learn more, not to annoy people.
You are saying that withing 10 days, people have:
Had a period
Ovulated
Became pregnant
Do we live in the same universe because I have never heard of this happening. This shiit has to be a joke.

Wow, two whole pages of rude, bitchy adults. ADULTS. Sad.
To the original poster, ignore the rude comments. It's perfectly fine to ask a question, even if it is off topic. Time will tell if you're pregnant. If you're not, I suggest finding an ovulation calendar online and figuring out when your best days to conceive are.

I'm sorry Horizon, but don't you post on BOTB? You should be used to this by now.
OP, Ovulation calenders are the worst predictiors of ovulation because every one is different. Just read the book.

Also, you should know that online ovulation calenders are worthless. Fertility friend is the only "calender" to ever use. It teaches how to understand your body and chart what is going on.

Your just as bright as her. On line ovulation calenders are highly inaccurate since the assume every woman ovulates at the same time as everyone else (14 days) that is not the case.
So my advice stands. Read a book and learn your body. Or just have regular and frequent sex. But PLEASE wait until you at least miss a period before assuming you might be pregnant.

To the original poster: Let me clarify for you. Ovulation calendars ARE helpful. To a degree. They are definitely not something you should take as gospel, because no one knows exactly how your body works. But they're a good guide to start off with, and it indeed sounds like you're in the beginning phases of learning how to get pregnant. The calendars were accurate two out of two times for me, and for the record, I tested positive both time before I missed my period. As for the book that has been suggested, I've never read it, but I'm sure it's a great way to go.
Don't let these people make you feel stupid. Again, good luck.

No one was flaming anyone for testing before a missed period. The OP thought she was pregnant before she even ovulated, and that's what really shocked people.
And a lot of women on the other boards do learn how they're body works through charting, CM, CP, OPKs, reading books etc. They're simple skills to learn and saved me a whole lot of frustration when I found out that I ovulate almost a week later than what the calculator had told me.
Just sayin'
I just mentioned that because someone said she should wait until she's missed a period, but you don't necessarily have to do that. I was shocked this time around when I tested positive five days before my period!

To clarify -- i never said i hadn't ovulated. It's possible to ovulate early, especially if your cycle is irregular from coming off the pill. Considering that I'm just starting to TTC i'm not going to be a charter. We're willing to let whatever happens happen for at least a year before we start worrying about things.
It's unrealistic to expect everyone to be as obsessed about reading multiple books before becoming a mother, be able to pinpoint exactly when they are ovulating, etc.
My original post simply asked if other people had had similar symptoms that I have been experiencing. I'm just trying to pay attention to my body. I understand that some of you may have been trying for a long time and think it's foolish for someone to get their hopes up so quickly, but not everyone is the same when it comes to TTC.
I'm thankful that there are at least a few understanding & kind people on this board and that not everyone is jaded, snarky and so quick to call someone stupid because they thought there was a possibility they ovulated early and were experiencing symptoms (particularly someone who has never been pregnant before). Give it a break.
No one is ever fully ready to become a parent for the first time, however I know that I'm personally doing everything I can to ensure that I will have a healthy, happy child. I'm sure they will appreciate having a mother who allowed herself to be hopeful and excited while TTC, rather than judgemental, classless and rude.
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.
