I've been just going by DD and not really have her on a schedule. But I think I need to nip this in the bud now before the next baby comes and I'm a mess. Besides I'm really tried and would like some rest. What are some good books to read or a good starting point for us? Any advice would be wonderful.
Re: HELP! I think I need to sleep train
The schedule/natural sleep patterns parts of Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child are really good. Both of my kids naturally fell into the times he outlines. That book is incredibly disorganized and poorly written, but the info is good once you wade through it. I personally do NOT like his extinction CIO method, though.
I used HSHHC for the times/schedule, and Sleep Lady for the actual training. Ferber or the Sleep Easy Solution (timed check ins) also work for a lot of people.
