My beta came in at 394, which is another slow (but low) appropriate rise. The nurses are concerned because I am over 5 weeks and they said this is a very low beta number given my stage in pregnancy.
They have me coming in next Thursday for an ultrasound to see if they can locate the baby. Obviously right now, the biggest concern is ectopic.
If they can locate the baby next week and it's in the "right" place, they will bring me back again in two weeks for an ultrasound to try to detect the heartbeat. Otherwise, I'm not sure what happens.
So another week of waiting. Thanks for all the support so far.

Well, it's still a rising beta..... I cannot believe you have another week to wait! Sending lots of prayers, and hoping that everything works out. (hug)
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!

I am so sorry you are still in waiting mode. But I am glad that the beta is rising, and pretty much on target. I hope you have a great US next week and baby is right where he/she should be.
I wish this was clearer and easier for you and DH.
Praying your little fighter is hanging around for a long time and next week's u/s is good news.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

I'm sorry, Niki. This has got to be so frustrating for you. I wish you could have received a better answer today, but at least the beta is going up. Many T&Ps that the he/she is right where she's supposed to be.
I know the idea of waiting yet another week sucks. I wish I could make it easier for you. I hope this week flies by and you get great news next week.
