punk, i agree with you about some of these "professional" photos people get. they are cringe-worthy.
i didn't see the OP, but are we talking JCPenny type photos? bc yes....some of those are horrible. I can't believe someone paid money for that type of horrible.
I get JCPenny photos. I only pay $4 a sheet for pictures (it costs a little over $2 to print an 8x10 for at Walgreens), they have a cute background, and someone else is taking the pictures while I try to corral both boys into the same room.
I think it's obnoxious when people on unemployment take lavish vacations or, in general, spend on extravagances. I'm all for unemployment and thinks it serves its purpose, especially in the past few years, but unemployment is to pay your mortgage, buy food and diapers, not your lavishvacay to Hawaii or your fancy Tahoe ski trip. Or your new iMac. I'm cool with it paying for you to drive to the beach for a long weekend, though. everyone needs a break.

no. not only. and i think you can probably get pretty good JCP/sears pics if you have a creative person taking pics.

ah ok...thats my UO then I think I have seen a few JCP good ones...but I am generalizing when I say JCP.
I think those little teeny tiny smart cars are ridiculous looking. Who would drive that? I understand it saves on gas but imagine if you were hit by a truck in that thing? Is saving money in gas really worth being flattened like a pancake? I especially don't get why people drive them here in Houston where everyone drives huge cars.
I would NEVER get on the road in Houston in one of those things. I drive a small SUV and still wonder how I make it! Those things are a death wish if you ask me!
I don't get why people get banned and then feel the need to make up an AE to come back. I usually don't find them all that amusing and if you can't stay away from the Nest for a few days/weeks, then you have too much time on your hands. For reals. Just sayin'.
That is so true, those people put the LA in LAME. I mean really, they should get a life. Go spend time with your kid, your husband, read a book or something.
I almost never listen to music in the car. It's Sports Talk radio 99.9% of the time. Sometimes I wonder if I'm really even a girl...
We should be FB friends Half of my friends always whine about my sports related FB posts. Dammit, I love sports, and Jim Rome and Mike and Mike.
I am 100% confident that some people have hidden me based on my FB sports commentary. Especially after the Cowboys/Saints game when I was liking my own status.

MY UO is that I think most women know when they marry a scumbag. I also don't believe in "emotional affairs." They did it man. They did it.
I definitely agree with this. I think that it is extremely rare that someone does a complete 180 on you. and the emotional affairs thing is sad and hilarious all at the same time. denial-land.

On a different note, not everyone likes artsy fartsy photography, like pictures off your kid staring at something other than the camera, or just a back or side view of them. Those types of poses are extremely overdone in these parts.

Blondie - say it ain't so! Jim Rome is a dope and an one of the biggest jock sniffers on the planet! M&M aren't much better but I can take them in small doses.
My radio stays on a local sports talk station, I can't really stomach the national guys for too long.
We need to find common ground here, Blondster, your credibility has taken a hit here. Doh!
People, Punk is definitely right about the Dolly Madison thing. She was quite the looker and had a fab rack too. She was who I thought of when the subject of attractive first ladies came up.

Canada and the UK to let old people die, and it should be done here too. There needs to be a different attitude about letting people die if we are even going to sustain the current medicare system, let alone pay for universal healthcare. Most people want to die at home, yet 90% of people die in the hospital after having multiple interventions that 999 times out of 1000 aren't going to meaningfully extend life. I am not sure if it is doctors being afraid to talk with patients and families, or families being afraid to let their loved ones go, but walk into any ICU in this country, and 80% of the people there are never going to make it out. It is not like that in the UK.

Ha! Well, part of the reason I love Jim Rome is because he is SO ridiculous!!
I really listen to more local sports radio. "The Huge" is his name. Huge is the best
I don't get when people passionately say "America is the greatest country in the world". I think America is a great country but it still has many many problems which need to be fixed/address. I mean with all of the riches of the country we still haven't found a way to provide universal healthcare something which every other developed nation has done.
Also healthcare related I hate when people are completely against the Obama plan but have no idea for a realistic alternative. I mean do these people think the current system is a good one? Do they really support insurers exploiting the American public?

I agree with you ladies, I feel like I am going to get crunched in my pissant. I used to see like 3 on my way to work everyday trying to toodle along 45 around all these massive trucks and 18 Wheelers. I just don't see how you can feel safe driving that.
It's funny I was talking about this with a friend last night, I was telling him I only saw little old ladies driving them, I wouldn't let my Grandmother near one.

I think pictures with people gazing into the camera either look like mug shots or like someone should be holding a giant Publishers Clearinghouse check.

Hey Jess!
Amrice - I pph PTI. Tony K has a local 'sports' show here and he is hilarious. If you have an iPod or whatever, you can download the podcast. Good stuff, he's a cranky old dude and is hilarious. Wilbon pops in from time to time to tell him he is crazy.

I have a love/hate relationship with PTI. Somedays I just can't handle Kornheiser's tone. Too much arguing....but, most days I love it.
I think those shopping carts with TVs in them are the worst thing I have ever seen in my life. Not only are they a ploy to make you stay in the store longer and spend more money but they are doing your child a disservice. Going to the store can be a learning experience if you make it one, instead of parking them in front of a TV.

I like Mike and Mike as well. I don't listen to them on the radio though because it is too early for me. DH used to record them and we'd watch them on ESPN in the Am together. We also watch The Herd. Love Collin he is funny and a Native Washingtonian.

I don't care about your reproductive history and I find it annoying to see it in your siggy. ESPECIALLY if you already have a live child.
The only exception is if you are still working to have a first child.

But do they have health insurance? Because, isn't that really what we are talking about here?
Also, I was dead serious about Canada being the best country in the world. If for no other reason than it has worthwhile beer and Lanie.

But a political UO is bound to be unpopular with half the people here, where "I hate when my MIL breathes!" is going to get much more support.
