A coworker said I will be stuffy the whole time. Please tell me that is not true. How do pregnant women glow if they can't breathe through their nose??

I got stuffy nose since beginning n then I got break for 3 days. Still my nose is stuffy..I just thought thats all bcoz of being on east coast and my immunity is low. Never thought its pregnancy.....silly me...
OMG! I'm so glad I'm not alone. It's been almost 3 weeks and I just can't get rid of it. Stuffy/congested and that awful post-nasal drip. Before I realize it, I'm swallowing that gunk and that makes it worse (don't want to constantly be spitting in my office - yuck!) Feel like I want to blow my nose, but nada. Then when I get to work it's so dry. Maybe this is a normal first trimester thing? A friend of mine had the same thing and said it went away when she was about 14-15 weeks pregnant. I'm going to my OB tonight and I plan on asking him about it.
Maybe the "glowing" is the red nose from rubbing and blowing too much - ha ha ha!
huh, that's funny, I hadn't even thought about it being a symptom! I always have a little trouble with stuffy/runny/post nasal, so I thought it was just acting up! Good to hear I'm part of the club! It hasn't been miserable, just annoying. Always carry tissues and I do use saline spray.
I was stuffy for my entire 1st pregnancy and used Afrin which was ok'd by my doctor. Unfortunately, I still use the darn stuff so I'm not stuffy this time around. Try the neti pot or saline solution to help.
Re: Stuffy noses...does it go away?
Welcome to the club of approx 10% of all pregnant ladies whose nasal passages are HORRIBLE the entire time.
I've been stuffed up since Thanksgiving.
