I'm concerned that my first OB appt is when I'm either 5wks 6 days or 6 weeks along. Either way, they will do an internal u/s in the hopes of seeing if all is well.
I've read online that the HB can be seen between 6-7 weeks, but have never had an u/s this early before. Maybe they are doing it because I got PG on Clomid or the prior loss?
Thanks. I'm going to try not to get my hopes up but hoping for the best.
Re: Any success seeing a HB at 6 weeks along?
I saw the baby's heartbeat at about 6 weeks. (It was 6 weeks based on LMP, but the baby was measuring about 5 weeks 6 days.) It was pretty hard to see at first, but the tech and the radiologist were able to see it.
Born 7lb, 15oz, 21-1/4, 2 mo - 12lbs, 14oz. 25", 3mo - 14lb, 4oz 26in , 4 mo - 16lb, 1oz, 26 3/4 in, 5 mo 18 lb, 4oz 27-3/4 in, 6 mo 28 3/4 in 19lb, 14oz
I went at 6wks0d and could only see the embryonic sac and yolk sac. Baby was hiding...
But my uterus is tilted so the tech and dr were not surprised at all. Will go back at 8wks0d to get a better look.
this time I saw a faint flicker and h/b of 100BPM at 5wk6days...
I had an early U/S with my last PG because I had high betas and they suspected clomid twins (and were right)
take care
Oh good, that's exactly when I'm going to have my 1st ultrasound and was unsure of what I'd be able to see/hear.
