1st Trimester

so scared!

I just called the nurses because I just realized I had quite a bit of dark brown discharge today. I am so worried. She did a good job of calming me down and letting me know it could be a number of things but it seem like more than "spotting". She told me to monitor over night and it was too early to do an ultrasound but I am scared that it could be mc. Ugh I hate this so much, not know, waiting. I am so sorry to vent because I know there are so many others out there that have gone through worse but I have no one to talk to about it except the hubby and he is equally freaked out.

Re: so scared!

  • I'm sorry, I would be worried too.  Try and relax (hard to do) because stressing out is not good for ya! T&P for you!

  • Stay calm hon

I have always been told the darker the color the older the blood and if it is dark it could be blood left over from your last cycle and the uterus just shifted or tilted and let it out.

THIS! Or it could be implantation bleeding. You're only 6 weeks. It's common until you are 12.

  • I agree with B-rooke. I've had the same thing happen to me with this pregnancy and with my first and everything was fine. It was more than likely old blood. T&P
  • Hang in there!  I know it is hard.  You are in my T & P.
  • And for the record, you can get an ultrasound at 6 weeks.  I had one at 6 wks and at 8 wks with DD.  You can't see much, but you can definitely see something!

This. Stay calm and keep relaxed. Prop your feet up, read a book or watch a little tv. Do some things to keep your mind off things. Sticky baby dust to you.

Thanks for the info! my nurse said it was too early but maybe she meant too early to tell what is wrong. I was so overwhelmed during the phone call.

  • I had bleeding with Isaac as well, and all was okay.  The most important thing is to stay calm, relax for you and the baby. All will be okay, lots of thoughs and prayers and... Sticky Baby Dust!
