Do All The "I'm Such a Pig!" Posts Make You Feel REALLY Fat?

When someone posts about what a "pig" they have been, I often wind up thinking something along the lines of "well..that seems about like a normal meal for me!"  Or "I would typically eat that much in a day!"  And I was very much in the "normal" weight range for my height before pregnancy!

Tell me I'm not the only one thinking this!

  • YES! lol, but I know I can eat like a pig at times (well, most the time).

I'm average/normal weight too, but still.

  • When I read the posts on here I definitely get the impression that I'm eating a lot more than most pregnant ladies and gaining a lot more weight.

But we all filter stuff through our own lens, so I'm thinking that says more about me than anyone on here.

  • I've eaten like a pig my entire life except now that I'm pregnant. I have no appetite! The one time I'm supposed to be gaining weight...

     THIS!

  • Since i've gotten pregnant, I eat ALL the time, and I don't feel guilty about it at all! I have been eating whatever I want, not all of it is healthy, but I have been craving a lot of fruits and fresh veggies, along with bread, pasta, and chips and cookies...the only craving i've given in to and felt guilty about was seared ahi tuna from P.F. changs once. but I'm over it now! I'm normal for my height, weight, and stage in pregnancy. I don't know how I have not gained more weight than I have, but I am just all boobs and belly...
  • I definitely agree.  I have gained about 16 pounds, and feel like I must be HUGE compared to these women.  I am a normal height and weight, athletic build.  But now I feel like a house!  And the posts don't normally make me feel any better.  :(

  • YES! Some of the posts make me so bad =/ !! I read a post earlier about gaining 10 lbs in a month and I expected most of the responses to say "oh thats normal" or "no big deal" but other people were agreeing that they'd gained and felt "HUGE" because of it! We're supposed to be gaining weight, right?? Should we feel guilty!?

Ditto, almost exactly. I'm only giving myself a break because I had just lost 9 lbs on WW before I got knocked up, so I knwo that I gained back that weight really quickly as soon as I stopped counting points. I should really use my pre-WW weight as my baseline, but I don't because I like to torture myself.
