I am not going back to work when Ella is born!! My DH and I have been talking about it for the last few weeks and have made a decision. I am sad to be leaving my job and the people I work with but I know I will be happy to be home with my little girl. I am a little nervous about it also. Any advice from other SAHM would be great!

how great!
well no advice here, just more of a suggestion. i just joined a meetup up group (moms first) on meetup.com. and i know a lot of those ladies are SAHMs, and they organize tons of meetups. so that might be a good way to connect with other moms and do things with LO.
Oh yay how exciting! My number one piece of advice for staying at home...
Make sure to take some time just for you sometime during the day..whether it's when she is napping or when DH gets home. Sometimes it's just as simple as a shower or 30 minutes of mindless tv.
Also get out of the house some...even if it's just taking a walk around the neighborhood. It helps to cure cabin fever.
I am looking into mom's groups or classes now for me and Aubrey to do something together now that she is getting more social. Staying at home has allowed me to pursue hobbies and such as well. Plus I am there for everything she does which is the most awesome thing ever!
We have a pretty good routine to our day. I base it off the EASY plan and it flows nicely. I think having a routine (not a schedule) makes things easier. It's flexible of course and sometimes Aubrey has a different idea but over all it works for us.
Congrats...even though it takes some sacrifices it is most definitely worth it!
What's the name of the book with the EASY information?
The Secrets of the Baby Whisperer
Awww thanks Candi!! I am really looking forward to staying home with my little girl!! I may have questions for you in the future! Thanks for all your advice!

Congrats! You will love it.
I treat every day sort of like a job, with a set schedule. Like, from 8-9 is bottle/snuggle time, then breakfast afterwards. Then we go to the gym or go on a walk with the puppies. I'm in a playgroup from meetup.com, so I have playdates 2-3 times a week at 10am. (I highly suggest finding a playgroup!) Then I get a shower while he plays in his bumbo/jumperoo or naps, followed by lunch. Then he is down for a nap at 1 until about 3:30, so I have a couple hours to myself to scrapbook, clean, laundry, read a book, catch up on TV shows, etc. Then he wakes up for snack time and playtime, then DH gets home and takes over so I can get dinner going!?
At first it is completely different because you are so tired, all you will want to do is sleep...but after she gets older, I highly suggest some sort of routine to help you get through the day. Also, definitely make sure to get out a few times a week....grocery store, Target, etc...it helps you keep your sanity!
