  I have a few times. 2 x for girls weekend, but I was within driving distance, so it wasn't that bad.

  In December, I had to go to Paris, France. I wasn't gone for 2 weeks, but it was difficult. Then I began to enjoy the uninterrupted sleep, coffee, showers, dinners...then I missed the interruptions. So it was both good and rough, but I am glad I did it.

  I missed DH and Lu so much...they missed me too.

  It will be tough, but with work, what options do we have? You will be okay, they will be okay and the joy when you get home will be fantastic!!!

  We did for a week, and that was really hard.  My cousin did 14 days in Italy for a wedding she was in, without DC.  She ran up $900 in phone charges.  Do you have a webcam?  That helped us!

  I went away for 5 days for work when DD was 9 months, DD was fine with DH but I missed her and skype didn't help. Once we got off she would cry for me for all long time.  In March I'm going on a 9 day trip overseas, I'm sick just thinking about it.

  I just returned from a 7 day cruise with DH and will be making numerous trips to Russia varying in length from 7 to 14 days (obviously w/o DD) within the next year.

  I may be cold hearted, but I had absolutely no problem with it. She split teh week away with my parents and the IL's.

  Everyone is different, but realize she will be home with DH and still on (hopefully) her routine, so it will most likely be harder on you.
