I pump in what I was told and thought was an unused office in the adjacent bldg. I was sitting there, minding my own business, pumping away when I heard a key in the door. Despite my shrill screams of, "Dont come in, don't come in," they came in. I didn't have time to do anything except pull the pump/bag in front of me to try to block the view. It took a full 5 seconds (that doesn't seem like much, but bare your breasts & count to five and it seems a whole lot longer!) for them to figure out what was going on and stammer and shuffle out. I am mortified. At least it wasn't coworkers or, heaven forbid, my boss, but still...
Re: mortified. maintenance men walked in on me pumping
That's terrible- I'm so sorry.
What kind of jerk comes in when you're yelling "Don't come in!!"? I'm sorry.
I'd put a sign up, too. (but don't be surprised if people still come in or try to. I put a sign up and lock the door and people still try to come in my office when I pump...morons)
I'm so, so sorry!
I understand not wanting to put up a sign and draw attention to yourself...
Ugh. At least it was random maintenance men. And - they probably didn't get a good look at your face - so I doubt they'd recognize you if you passed them in the hall.
Hope the sign works!
