Pregnancy journals

Hi ladies - do any of you journal, or keep track of pregnancy related symptoms, Dr questions, decor ideas, etc.?

If you do, do you just use a plain spiral bound notebook or do you use one of those actual pregnancy journals from a book store?  If you use one you purchased from a book store, which one did you get and what are some pros/cons about it?

Thanks!!

Re: Pregnancy journals

  • I actually went and looked at them all yesterday, and I really loved the 'the belly book', but since they have spots for belly shots at 1wk, (Like anyone takes pictures of their belly before they know their pg) and I decided to just buy a cute notebook and make my own. ! I'm excited, I think it's going to be cute.

  • I started a private wordpress blog. I don't really have intentions of making it public. I just wanted to be able to go back and remember the journey.

  • I purchased the Belly Book for my first pregnancy but I was really bad about filling it out.

  • I got the "What to expect when youre expecting" journal.  I have been using it since we found out and I find it so helpful.

Pros:  I can track what I have eaten and it keeps track of servings.  It also keeps track of daily exercise.  My favorite parts are:  It has a daily journal where I write daily.  It asks many questions about how I am feeling at certain points.  It also has a physician section where It has a place for questions/calls in between visits and  it maps out and keeps track of each visit and vitals at each visit.

The only con I can see is there is an entire section for labor and delivery.  I am sure it is something I will not fill out, as I will be busy elsewhere..but you never know.  I highly recommend it!

  • I've got a notebook that I use for questions for the doc and things like that. As far as tracking other stuff, I have been using a blog. I like that blogspot has the option to turn your blog into a book. So I think I may do that down the road after the little munchkin is here.
  • I got The Belly Book...of course, I am so newly pregnant that I haven't done much in it yet!

  • With DS I started a blog its great because I can turn it into a book now. It would be the same as your journal expect less work when you wanted to added photos of your decor ideas or belly photos.

  • I bought a couple journals this week- one is called Love Letters to My Baby and it is a guided journal from conception through the first few years. Reading it in Barnes and Nobles almost made me cry. The other one was a baby book that goes through the baby's first 3 years.

  • I'm using "The What to Expect Pregnancy Journal & Organizer"!  It doesn't have much space to write each day, but I've been good about keeping up with it!
