I would be a bit concerned but not enough to get worried. Every child develops differently and at a different pace. Some don't even crawl and go straight to walking. Continue to encourage tummy time and I think if after a month she's still not doing it then maybe talk to her doctor.
my pedi said that rolling is a 6 month milestone, he still hasn't rolled either

Don't let AW posts on here worry you or obsess too much about milestones charts. Those charts are just loose timelines with ranges of ages.. not the end all - be all of baby development. Your pedi should be asking about these things at your well checks, and if at any time your pedi is concerned, you will know.
Just keep up with the tummy time, even helping her roll side to side to see if she will initiate going the rest of the way... she'll figure it out in no time.

Thanks...this is what I was looking for. Someone to say, hey my child is X old and hasn't rolled. Thank you.

Natalie isn't close to rolling from tummy to back. She can get on her side from her back but she stops there and doesn't even try. I'm not worried about it. and that is a LOT coming from me because I totally used to freak about rolling.
I also have a 5.5 month old who refuses to roll.....
If it makes you feel better, they have done research and said this milestone isn't as accurate as it used to be with the SIDS back to sleep campaign.
When we were younger we slept on our stomachs, which gave us more tummy time and more reason to want to roll. Babies now a days are always on their backs, so they are less likely to want to roll over.
I'm not going to worry about it until the pedi tells me too, DH and I think DS will walk before he rolls
I was a little worried last week about the same thing, then 2 days ago I put her on her belly in her crib while I washed my hands after changing her and she just did it. I clapped and got excited and happy and she got happy too. Then I tried tummy time like 10 more times that day and many times since then and now she's a rolling champ. So funny how quick the change was. Last week she would just slam her face into the blanket/floor and start crying. She'll do it when she's good and ready, and when she does be ready to act happy happy!

Don't worry, my LO hasn't done it yet either. One time, when he was just a few weeks old he tilted his head and kind of fell over, but I don't think that really counts. He doesn't like tummy time much either so it's hard to get him to practice.
As long as your LO is using good head control and picking up their head/shoulders to look around, I wouldn't be worried. Every child is different and as long as they don't appear to have low tone or muscle weakness, it will happen soon enough. My LO only rolls back to belly and she just started that about 1 wk ago.
My DD didn't start rolling until she was 5 1/2 months old. She rolled three times that day. Now- she rolls as soon as I put her on her back (over the right shoulder) and is close to rolling over the left shoulder as well as rolling tummy to back. Your LO will do it when she's ready. My LO was not interested at all in rolling over at 4 1/2 months, too.
No full-on rolling here yet. DD will roll about 80% of the way and then decide whatever she's reaching for isn't worth going the full way and will go back. Once she rolled fully when she grabbed my hand and pulled herself over, but I'm not counting that.
DD sometimes rolls onto her left side. Well, it's more that she lifts her legs straight up and she falls to her left side. Then if I nudge her a little she'll roll onto her belly. That's as far as we've gotten.
Re: No rolling at 4 1/2 months
Thanks!
I thought the exact same thing when I read the post. She's a doll!

Hey my child is 5 months old and hasn't rolled yet.
There is no need to be concerned!
My 5.5 mo old has no interest and doesn't even try to roll. But he can sit unassisted and w/out tripoding. Some things happen early, some late.
My pedi also said some don't start til they're crawling.
I also have a 5.5 month old who refuses to roll.....

My child is almost 5 1/2 months old and hasn't rolled over.
Beautiful pictures!
