Ok I don't really understand fully what the big issue is, but I would like to just say I'm a preschool teacher and there are honestly a few kids that I will honestly say I hate. I usually hate their parents more, and I don't treat them any differently than the kids I like, but I do get to secretly hate them with my coworkers. When a 4 year old has sent you to the emergency room for a stitch in your hand because he bit you (because you were reading the class a story) then we'll talk.

I've had a student flip over my desk, use it to pin me against the wall, and threaten to beat the crap out of me. I think most teachers have some sort of story. We all just disagree if hating a child makes sense or not.
eta: and just because I think its odd to hate a child doesn't mean I don't hold my students accountable for their actions. Thats a leap IMO.
Re: please don't ever use the word HATE and child in the same sentence
In all seriousness, at what age do we start holding kids accountable for their own personality traits?
Yes, this! As a teacher, all I see is excuses for bad behavior. (I taught 7th grade.) It's very rare to see accountability.
When do parents start being parents and not their child's friend? If no one is making the child accountable, then he/she will not be.
