Babies on the Brain

Hello, I feel like ass.

I am getting sick.  I had a tickle in my throat yesterday and this morning it has worsened a good bit.  And my weight has not budged on the scale at ALL.  Quite possibly, I could have gained since my last weigh-in.  I know this is due to AF being here and now, not feeling well, and I've done everything right so I can't get too down on myself.  I also know that weight loss doesn't always happen every week or in time for a weigh-in, but it's disappointing when you're trying to win $400...

Oh well.   Huh?

  • Aww, thanks girls!  Yes it does make me feel better. :) And it also makes me feel better to know I'm looking better in the mirror and my clothes are getting looser, even though the scale isn't budging at the present moment.  But the number on the scale is always either really exciting or really sucky.

    Agreed.

  • Are they just measuring weight, or body fat percentage as well?

If you are doin pxwhateveritscalled, you are probably solidfying/building muscle- which weighs more than fat. So, you could absolutely weigh more, but have a lower body fat % and have looser clothes. If you stick with it, the number on the scale will go down.

Keep up the good work, you are doing the right thing!!

(And yes, your new siggy pic is Hot! I've been wanting to tell you that since yesterday, but didn't want to sound creepy.)

We are measuring percent body weight loss, just like on the Biggest Loser.  So if I lost 25 pounds, they will divide that by my original weight and say I lost 10% or whatever it ends up being.  We aren't doing it by pounds (because people who weigh more tend to lose more pounds).

As for exercising, I've been alternating the Shred DVD and also power walking the neighborhood.  I'm sure I'm getting some muscle... but doesn't 1 pound of fat and 1 pound of muscle equal one pound no matter how you look at it?

Thanks for all the compliments ladies! You all are good for my ego. :)
