Is PBK white furniture really "off" white?

From what I can tell online and by the name, it seems their furniture is actually off white. Is that true? We have a store near here, but I haven't stopped in in awhile and can't remember what their colors are like. DH and I area headed out today to look at potential girl furniture and think we would like white. But only a true white. There aren't many good baby furniture stores near here for some reason, so we are relatively limited.

TIA!

  • Yes it's off white.

Edit:  Not ivory or cream, but not true white.

  • it is a little on the off white side, but honestly, a true white is hard to find.  There are MANY shades of white, some more blue, some more yellow, etc.

A true white, is actaully very hard on the eyes.

  • It's yellowy-white.  I thought it looked dirty (not just floor-model dirty, but something's-off dirty).  Our bedding, the baby's bedding, and all of the trim in our house is white, and I didn't want our crib to look "off."  The PBK crib would have.  Also, the white cribs there had a pretty plastic-y feeling to me - they did not seem like painted wood (probably because they're not).

It is CERTAINLY not everyone's tastes, but this is our white crib (I love the old fashioned style) https://www.albeebaby.com/da-vinci-jenny-lind-crib-in-white-finish1.html.  The parent company is Million Dollar Baby, which has  a B in Baby Bargains (not amazingly fancy quality, but never any recalls).  The non-fanciness I can deal with - I don't see cribs as an "investment" or lifetime piece.  I just want safe and cute.

Actually I just checked & they are solid wood.

  • In Baby Bargains, it says several of the cribs have MDF end panels (covered with wood veneer) and several mattress platforms have fiberboard or masonite supports (not solid wood).  So...not solid wood.  But cute nonetheless!  Just depends what you're looking for.
