Will will not eat veggies anymore. He loves fruit, eggs, breads, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. But put a piece of broccoli with cheese on it in front of him and he shakes his head no and immediately throws it off his tray. It's really bothering me because I know he's not getting a balanced diet. Sometimes I can hide peas in his yogurt or broccoli in his cottage cheese when I'm giving it to him, but honestly he's not getting much even with that.
So how can I get him to eat veggies? Should I do some creative pureeing ala Deceptively Delicious? I feel like that's just masking the problem, rather than solving it, though. He did great eating veggie purees...definitely didn't like them as much as fruit, but he'd eat them without issue usually. Any ideas for me?
Re: How to get him to eat veggies?
Thanks for all the advice everyone! For lunch I cooked asparagus and cut up one spear and put it on his tray. He tasted it, made a face, and then didn't touch it for the rest of lunch. So I purreed another spear and mixed it in with his cottage cheese and he ate it up. Stinker! I guess that's how we'll be getting veggies into him for awhile.
MrsRosie - I haven't tried those...I'll look into them when I go grocery shopping this week. Thanks!
