Did you always start bcp on a Sunday?

When I start them on a Sunday that means I will have the heaviest part of my period on the weekend and that = no sexy time.

I think I switched it to Thursdays so I started on Mondays, but NP and directions say Sunday after your period starts.

Anyone ever change up the day?

Yup, I did. I tweaked it until my period would start on a Mon/Tuesday and I would be done by the weekend. I think for me that meant starting the new pack on Thursday or Friday??

Mine are pretty light and usually 4 days. I always start a new pack on Monday, because inevitably I'm going to forget to fill the Rx over the weekend. If there are any issues, the doc's office can be contacted on a Monday also. AF is usually T-F, so my weekends are still free.

I kept it to Sunday, it was always easy to remember. My periods were so light on the pill. I would start Tuesday around 3pm (yes, it was that exact!) and be done by Saturday. I never took the placebo pills, either.

I changed mine to Fridays. Now my period comes on Monday and is gone by Thursday. No weekend period issues. Works for me.

You can start whatever day you want. I don't know what brand you're taking, but my packs always came with little stickers to put on them if you started on a day other than Sunday so you could easily tell which pill was for which day.

I found that Friday night starts worked for me to avoid a weekend AF but it might take you a cycle or two to figure it out if you haven't been on it in a while.

I used to change the day. Way back when, the bcp pack used to come with extra day of the week stickers so you could just stick the right day on the first pill position.
