Re: repost from last night..heterozygous factor V leiden
I am also hetero for Factor V. Everything I've read and been told by doctors is that it is not a big deal, apparently about 40% of the caucasian population has it. However, given my history, my MFM has recommended Lovenox for this pregnancy, and a baby aspirin every day. My Lovenox dose is pretty small, .4 ml.
Due to your history of m/c, I would not be surprised if they do the same for you, just to be safe. There are a lot of ladies on PgAL and High Risk that do Lovenox, and so far it's been ok for me. GL!

I do and just figured itout this week. one of my 2 genes are abnormal so that means i have an increased risk to clot, but not as much as if you have 2 abnormal genes. SO when my hormones drop to 0 I will start taking 1 baby asprin a day. I also have 1 abnormal gene for MTHFR so I will be ona special pretanal as well.
To me this was a small relief something easy to "fix" and a sort of answer to why I had 2 MC.
Hope you can find the same "comfort".
