Ok, so I have been a big chicken when it comes to giving Hunter table foods. He has had crackers and cheerios and just tastes of a few things eat. The pedi wants him eating more table foods so I'm trying to come up with as many things possible that he can eat. So far I have pasta, cheerios, yogurt, small/soft fruit pieces, crackers, and for some reason I am stuck on anything else. She said he can pretty much eat anything except shellfish and peanut butter. She also mentioned meatballs (obviously cut into small pieces), but I'm really weird about him eating stuff w/ a ton of preservatives/seasonings in it. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Also, when did you have DC completely off of baby food?! I feel like I should know this stuff, but I don't.
Re: What do/did you feed your 9-12 month old?
We did pasta, chicken breast, cheese, chicken nuggets, turkey meatballs - if you're worried about the ingredients the best thing to do is make it yourself. That way you know exactly what's in there.
I have a few of our favorite toddler/baby food recipes posted on my blog - the cheese muffins and lilypad pancakes were the best.

Here are examples of meal staples for DS. As Jene mentioned, we tend to also give him whatever we are eating (unless it is too spicy, contains nuts, etc.)
BREAKFAST: oatmeal, pancakes, banana, YoBaby yogurt, scrambled eggs, biscuits, cereal bars
LUNCH: cheese cubes/slices, chopped/diced cooked vegetables (his favs are corn, peas, squash, sweet potatoes), pasta, applesauce
DINNER: baked/roasted chicken/turkey (I always grab a rotisserie chicken, roasted chicken breast, or a few slices of pre-cooked roasted turkey from Kroger's deli when I'm there for evenings when we eat something that wouldn't agree with DS), steamed/cooked/roasted vegetables, beans (black, pinto, etc.), peaches/pears, mandarin oranges
We haven't really given him any jarred baby food in the last 4-6 weeks or so.
You ladies ROCK! I guess I just need to stop being chicken! I don't know why I didn't think of half of the things you posted!
Jene--I believe that shirt came from Target! We are all about the vintage Star Wars!
DD eats whatever we eat, for the most part. Here are examples of typical things she eats
Breakfast - fruit puree w/ cereal, yobaby w/ cereal, waffle, mini muffins, cereal bars
lunch - she eats what gets served at daycare, ravioli, grilled cheese, or a jar of baby food and some cheese and crackers
dinner- she eats whatever we eat if we are having dinner together at a time appropriate for her or else she eats the same types of things she'd get at lunch
We are still feeding her purees and probably will until she refuses them altogether. We have a ton of jars from me buying during sales so hopefully she'll continue to eat them for a few more weeks. We try to offer her food from the jar after she is done feeding herself, because sometimes when she's eating I suspect that she gets bored before she gets full and since she's so tiny I need to make sure she's getting enough calories.
Yes that shirt is from Target. My nephew has it.
Anyway Charlotte is only 8 months and is just now starting to experiment with some Puffs and Mum Mums but other than that is only on purees. Ava was eating purees, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheerios, pieces of cheese, pieces of soft cut up fruit (like bananas or diced peaches), green beans and maybe some small pieces of things like cereal bars or muffins at this age. The majority of her solids were still purees rather than table foods until around 1 year old. I didn't really give her any meat until around 1 year. She was a picky and light eater though.

With Jacob not sleeping due to his cold, I'm a total trainwreck today. I meant to *say* the same thing. I swear that I'm not feeding my 10 month old exactly what he SHOULDN'T be eating.
