Crib from Babies R Us Not in Stock

DH and I have decided on a crib, and it is available from a few different retailers. Surprisingly enough, BRU has the cheapest price! However, they are currently "Out of Stock." Has anyone else had any experience with Out of Stock items from BRU? Any idea how long it usually takes them to get large items (like cribs) back in stock? I don't mind waiting a while...I still have a few months before my due date...but if it's going to be a long time, I'd rather just buy it from another retailer for a bit more $$.

    It's been 1.5 years since we bought our crib, but BRU told us it could take up to 12 weeks for our crib, dresser and glider to arrive.  The crib and dresser arrived in two weeks.  The glider was 3 or 4 weeks.

    If other retailers have it in stock- check to see if any of them have a price match policy. You may be able to get them to match BRU's price...but don't mention that BRU is out of stock...as some of them require that the item be in stock for price matching.

    Ours was out of stock - it took about 2 weeks.

    Ours has been out of stock since I first started looking (Baby Cache Oxford).  But we picked it up new in a box off craigslist, so I'm no help there.

    Is it just out of stock online? I ordered mine in the store from the maker, and it arrived in 10 days with the glider/ottoman combo.

    Is it out of stock in the store or online?  The crib, changing table and dresser we wanted were all out of stock online, but when we went to the store, the crib and changing table were there - they just had to order the dresser.  They said it would take 7-14 days and we received a call in exactly 7 days.  They even held the two instock pieces for me so that we could pick them all up at once.  We picked them up last night :)  I am so excited to put them together.  I've been having great experiences with BRU, no complains :)  Good luck!

    They don't have it in the store, and it's out of stock online. I think I'll wait another week or so, and if they don't get it in, I'll just order it from Amazon.
