Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

no time for flash cards

I heard about the site on here, but after browsing through, it looks like the crafts/activities are way to advanced for my barely 13 month old. LOL, she'd rather eat & throw the stuff I am sure.

Any ideas or blogs for a younger toddler?

TIA

Mom to 2 beautiful girls, 3 yrs and 22 months old. My 2nd was born at 32 weeks due to Rhogam failure/severe complications from Rh disease and is our miracle. She has bilateral auditory neuropathy and a cochlear implant, activated 4/5/2012 at 19 months. Lilypie First Birthday tickers

Re: no time for flash cards

  • I agree with you most of the ideas are suited better for my 3 year old. For my 13 month old I let thim color, play with playdoh, play with beans in container and play with water.

do you mean in a closed container? i saw a sensory activity where they are in an open container, but she would just eat them i am sure! I put some dried rice in a water bottle and let her shake it. I could also do this with dried beans i guess.

Color - I believe she would eat the crayons more so than color...but I can give it a try...Playdoh....D'OH!!!  I can see my dog COVERED with it or worse eating it and getting sick (one more thing for me to clean up) ...but I might give it a try...I have done the beans...and it was good for a minute or two...

I have found a Baby Hooked on Phonic DVD / Book program that she loves...she now tries to do the Itsy bitsy spider with her hands...very cute...
