DS is suspected of having a rare overgrowth syndrome called Simpson-Golobi-Behmel. One of the major issues with this syndrome is tumors in the abdomen. At 2 months of ago DS AFP level (cancer screen) was over 1500 (should be between 11-300). We had to have his blood redrawn last week to run the test again. His Doctor at Riley just called, his level is down to 543-THANK GOODNESS! Although it is still higher than they would like it is on its way down and I couldnt be happier! I just wanted to share, I cant reach DH or my mom via phone right now and had to tell someone!
