I should remember this from my first baby, but I don't. I had to return to work this week. My baby is 4 weeks old, so luckily I am able to bring her to work with me until she is 6 weeks old and can go into daycare. I am feeling pretty down about this, especially since I was able to keep DS with me while I worked at home until he was 6 months old.
I was thinking of possibly keeping DD with me here at work for a few weeks longer than I originally planned, until she was 8 weeks or so. But I don't remember how 'active' a 6-8 weeker is. Right now she is perfectly happy to sleep almost all day in the Moby or sit and stare at me from her carseat or just sit in my arms at my desk. Does an 8 week old still have a lot of down time, or are they awake a ton more to where it would make it difficult to have her at work?
Re: How "active" is your 6-8 week old?
My 2 month old really is awake A LOT during the day, but he sleeps 9+ hours at night so he doesn't tend to sleep much during the day.
He takes 3-4 cat naps (30-45 min) during the day but will literally stay awake for 2.5 hours between feedings (eats every 4-5 hrs).
