It was intense. I wasn't able to go under anesthesia because I was vomiting all morning, so it was really painful. I was screaming a bit. My RE and the nurses were really nice and tried to be gentle. He drained 1/2 a liter. It looked like a lot more, though. I saw it in the buckets. Yuck. They gave me 4 bags of fluid to hydrate me. I feel a bit better, but still uncomfortable.
I go back in two days, Thursday, for him to check me again and if there is more fluid, he will drain me again. Unless I am super crazy uncomfortable tomorrow, I will go back.?
?I am a little nervous that it will come back really bad again, but I am being watched closely, so I trust my RE is doing what is best.??
I am going to take the rest of the week off from work to rest and get this under control. He told me to continue with the salty diet and hydrate a lot.?
I was shocked when he told me he only drains women around 4 times a year. I thought it would be more. Ugh, why me?!??
?
There will be no 5 day transfer on Thursday. Everything will be frozen. ?I am totally fine with that because there is no way I would go through a transfer while feeling like this. I know it is best for me, and I am okay with that. I will be asking a lot of FET questions soon, though, because I don't know much about it. So thanks in advance, lol.?
You girls are wonderfully, caring people. Thank you so much for your thoughts, from the bottom of my heart. ?

sending lots of T&Ps your way. ((((HUGS))))
Ohh, I am sorry you are just so miserable and the draining doesn't sound like so much fun. Hopefully thought you will get some relief soon. I think you made the right decision to go with a FET. They are much easier on your body (not as many meds) and you don't have to go through another ER.
I hope you feel better soon. XOXOXO

I am so so sorry you are going through this. Please know that it will get better. I too got severe OHSS with my first IVF cycle, and they drained me without putting me under. I know how terrible it is and I promise things will get better. Listen to your body and rest as much as you possibly can.
Thinking and praying for you!
