Not a fan of the two D's... and I am not a fan of the nickname Eddie.

NMS. I prefer a traditional name instead, like Edward or Elliot. But if you like it, there's nothing wrong with it (although I think one d would be better than 2).

My friend's DH is named Edison. It's okay, but really prefer the one D vs. 2 Ds.

My best friend named her son Edison and also hates the nickname Ed or Eddie. At age 3, no one has called him anything but Edison or by his initials (E.J.), but she does recognize that once he starts school, the other children may call him whatever they want as kids often do.

I think its spelled Edison and its a last name, not a first name.

It also reminds me of an awesome bar we have in LA. Bar isn't even the word for it. It's super fancy, with antique light fixtures and genuine 100-year-old bulbs, and film reels.
