I googled and got nothing but people's last names. I'm curious because I love anything that accompanies sauerkraut!

It's a dough...like spaetzle. It's just egg, flour, water and salt. You mix it into a stiff dough, use scissors to cut it up, and boil til it floats. It's bland but tasty w/ chicken and gravy or, as DH likes it, w/ ham and saurkraut.
Btw, I may or may not have spelled knepfle correctly!!
