Nap regression?

This is the second day that DS has refused to nap anywhere but in my arms.  He had been doing really well, for quite some time, with napping for a really good stretch after being put down.  Now it is like his newborn stage where if I put him down he wakes right up.  Anyone experience this?  Tips?

Re: Nap regression?

  • I read your post title and thought " I totally believe in this" Emily has had nap regression before...it lasted 3 weeks...we were lucky to get 1.5hrs total of napping in any given day.

  • The last 4-5 days or so L has been doing the same thing and I can't quite figure it out.

  • DD is the same way if she falls asleep on one of us, so we have to lay her down awake (drowsy) and we soothe her in the crib until she falls asleep.. holding her hands, touching her face, shushing, etc. We never let her cry, and it only takes her 5-10 mins to fall asleep the majority of the time. If she is having a hard time settling, we'll pick her up and rock her for a few minutes then try again.
  • Luckily for me for naps have always sucked at our house :) I spend a good 3 hours every afternoon trying to get 30 minutes out of her.
