Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Maybe a dumb question

Do you use wipes to wipe of LO's hands and face? We use the Pampers Sensitive wipes and now that we're feeding solids, it seems like it would be more effective to use a wipe to clean her off rather than a dry burp cloth or something. Will the wipes irritate her? What do you use?

Re: Maybe a dumb question

  • I used wet paper towels when DD was a baby.  I do, however, use wipes on N's hands and around his face...it seems to be fine :)

  • Yeah I do ... they work a lot better than the dry burp rags.  But I only use the "natural" ones.  Seventh Generation.  Not sure I'd wipe her face/hands with the regular ones.
  • I use wipes or wet paper towels to wipe Hannah's face too. Comes off easier then using the bib.

  • I use wet papertowels and wipes. I use Huggies sensitive wipes.
  • When DD had a bad cold it was impossible to get a tissue near that nose. It was all red and irritated so she would fight me. I started wiping with Coscto wipe and she is fine. She has SUPER sensitive skin and we have had no problems. The ped said it was ok, but I don't know if I would do that with feeding. It seems like it would be expensive to do that. Couldn't you just wet a washcloth?
  • We also use the pampers sensitive wipes to clean DSs face and hands up.  Never seems to irritate or bother him at all.

  • Thanks ladies. I know the most cost efficient option is to use wet washclothes but that mean more laundry and I can barely handle the load we have now.
  • We use Boogie Wipes for cleaning stuffy noses. DD has very sensitive skin and these work well. May be helpful for cleaning after eating.
