but it has now been an entire WEEK since I nursed DS. at lunch yesterday he looked at me and said in a forlorn voice "nummies no more", which about broke my heart, but he didn't ask for them so i just said "yup, they're closed for now" and he went about his business.

Our last session was Saturday morning. DS still is asking for it and its breaking my heart to say no but it was unbearable and I was having to seriously control my temper to stop from yelling at him during nursing becuase his latch was off, it hurt, i just didn't like it, etc... so we ended it a little sooner than I thought. But strangely enough, while I feel a bit guilty, I really am very happy. He had a good run!

This makes me so sad. I need to wean soon but since DD is probably our last baby, it may be harder on me than her. Crying

Not a flame, but why do you *need* to wean soon?

I'm still nursing, and am planning to continue for at least a couple more months...
