I went to lunch today and all I had was a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe and I feel as if my entire abdomen is going to explode. This is a common occurance though! Yesterday I ate a very small orange and got the same effect! Thing is.. I can eat a normal sized meal most of the time and not feel this way, so what gives?
I'm only 30 weeks along and IMO not big enough to warrant chalking this up to crowding ..yet. It is an uncomfortable, can't breath, can't sit, can't get comfortable in ANY position feeling. Anyone else experiencing this?
Re: Feeling ridiculously full after little-to-no food or drink?
I started to feel that way once in a while. I thought it might be LO crowding my stomach, but hard to know. There are times I can eat more, which I guess, means she's moving around a lot.
Pretty much I chalk almost everything up to LO these days LOL
I have found since about 28 weeks or so that if I eat too much, I will vomit.
There is no room for me in there anymore!
My Doc says to stand up if I feel sick to help the food move down. It does help.
I have that same feeling today and was wondering what the heck was going on. I had yogurt for breakfast and couldn't even finish it. I brought leftover mashed potatoes for lunch - and managed to get them down but now 5 hours later still feel incredibly full!!! I have gotten up to walk around the office a few times but nothing is helping. I have been sipping on a soda, hoping that would help, but still no relief. I feel full up to my throat (if that makes any sense). At the rate I'm going - I won't be able to eat dinner tonight either.
I'm there with you at about 31 weeks. My only solution is eating a bunch of small meals a day. I'm starving...then I eat a little and I'm full.....then the cycle starts over again in about 2 hours.
Well, it's good to know that I'm not in this alone. I just find it to be crazy. it feel like it would if you tried to push your stomach out as FAR as it it will go..like it's gonna explode.
No wonder the doctor told me not to worry about 3rd trimester weight gain. If it keeps this up I might avoid food altogether! LOL.
