How many diapers?

How many diapers do you go through in a day?? How often do you change your LO?

  I'm curious because there was a post on 0-3 that talked about the "gel " that comes out of a diaper when it's very full and several ladies responded that it has happened to them. It hasn't happened to us yet and I'm wondering if we go overboard on changing. We change every hour or so or when DS has had a BM.

    2-3 hours, unless we have reason to change sooner (if we notice it's wet or know he poops). Overnight, though, we go a pretty long time. Still, I have never had any "gel".
    Um, yeah. The Bump be too crazy for pics of my kid.

    i only got that gel when LO would pee so much over night that he would be soaked and then little gel balls would be everywhere too.

    i change him after he eats (about every 2.5-3 hours) and if he poops in between those times. he has a really great ability of pooping RIGHT after i put a clean diaper on him. sigh. oh well lol.

    If gel comes out you're not changing baby enough or your kid has some crazy pees.

    I wouldn't worry. I have no idea how many diapers we use but we CD and those hold much more then disposables IMO

    I saw the particles you talk about only when DS first started STTN. We were using swaddlers, which are fine during the day but when saturated start losing pieces. We switched to baby dry for the night. During the day I change him every 2-3 hours and of course, when he poops or seems really wet.

    We've never gotten any gels. We don't change over night but we change in between naps, when she first wakes up, and after bath/before bed.

    J gets changed about 7 times a day.  We've never had the gel issue.

    we change every feeding and if there is poop in between (so 5 or 6 times a day). my LOs only like to poop in clean diapers too. we have had gel but i dont remember what brand of diapers they were, and it was in the AM after STTN.

    We've dealt with the 'gel' that you speak of... happens sometimes with our huggies diapers when he wets too much, but not every package.

    We go through about 6-7 diapers a day, whenever DS is wet & uncomfortable or if he poops.
