36 weeks would be perfect. I had mine at 30 weeks and my belly was still on the smaller side...wished it was later so I could show off a cute big belly
Mine was at 29 1/2 weeks, mostly because of the holidays. I felt that this was a little early, but I really didn't want to wait until the last minute either. It did work out really well for family that had to travel (since winters in Michigan can get really bad). I am glad also that it was earlier, since I have been able to pick up other items here and there, plus I was much more comfortable then than I am now (physically).
mine is this saturday, 35 weeks. just one week before you. it feels late to me too but like you said, what can we do about it. just hope baby stays in long enough for the shower and to get all the new baby things situated! lol.
I had 4- at 27, 30, 31, and 37 weeks. The big ones were earlier and the last was work. I had the nursery done at 36 weeks so wouldn't have wanted my big showers that late- doesn't leave enough time to get everything organized and extra items purchased, IMO.
My first was at 25 wks. I have friends who say that they are planning a second one for me as the first one was out of town but as of yet I haven't been given any sort of date.
I don't want to sound ungrateful but I am kinda worried that the second shower may not happen until I am 36+ wks. The hostess lives about 45 minutes away from me and the shower will be at her house. I really don't want to have to drive that far and I would hate to be one of those ladies who cannot go to their shower because they are in labor. I also want to have everything purchased by March 1st so I don't have to worry about the baby coming early and not being ready. Oh well.
36 weeks. A little close for me too, but it is the way it worked out with the holidays & everyone's schedules. We will be rushing out the next day & picking up what we don't have & still need since I am nervous & DH won't let me buy anything until after the shower at this point. Eek.
I had mine yesterday. It was great! Luckily most bought off our registry so we only have to buy the swing now. Had I still needed to get everything myself I would have been a little bummed.
Mine will be at 34 weeks and that feels late to me also. I just think of all the things that will need to be washed and put together or returned. My family says its plenty of time.
