is it normal for a tiny bit of white gunk to be on/come out of the tip of his penis? This is the second time ive noticed it a little but of white stuff on the tip of his penis. I kinda have to pick it off but when I do it kinda has the consistancy of wet flour or something. I dont know if that is normal or I should call the doc to see what the hell that is. I thought maybe its a little bit of dead skin??

It could be smegma or dry skin, either way, probably nothing to worry about. You could call your pedi just in case if you want. My LO gets dry skin like that but it's not near the tip, it's usually on the underside.

Sounds like what the PP's said. A lubrication of sorts to keep the skin from sticking to his penis.

I've never noticed something like that, do you pull the skin a little bit back and dab it when you wipe him? Our pedi told us to do that since there can be some urine trapped in there...

You're never supposed to retract the foreskin because it can get stuck! This is how some of the emergency situations occur.

Even some doctors don't know about it but I've never heard of one actively encouraging this practice.

I haven't noticed it, but we pull back the skin to rinse it out during his bath. Maybe that's why.

I don't think she was talking about fully retracting the foreskin, just pulling it back "a little bit." You need to clean the top - that's what our pedi said too, and you can do that without pulling it all the way back.
