Babies: 3 - 6 Months

To those who's babies sttn in their crib...

How do you sleep? lol...seriously? I am contemplating letting DS sleep in his room tonight, and I have no doubts that he will sleep all night in there with no problem...I just don't know if I'll get any sleep from worrying all night long. He usually sleeps in his pnp in our room 10+ hours straight...and he naps in his crib just fine during the day...so it should be alright shouldn't it??? ::sigh:: I'm having some serious anxiety issues with this. lol

  • I'd hear him through the monitor if he needed me.

  • I have a video monitor and an AngelCare with audio and movement sensor. I know, it's overkill, but it helps me sleep knowing that anytime I wake up I can look at my nightstand and check on him immediately.

  • The angelcare monitor is how I am able to do it.
  • I hear her in the monitor.

  • I sleep well. We don't use a monitor, but we live in a small 2 br apartment, so we always hear him if he wakes up.

yea, we live in a small apt too...and we have a monitor....so I think we're gonna try this and see how it goes. blaa. thanks guys :)

  • angel care monitor helps ease but the first week, at least, i had some serious anxiety and kept getting up to check on him. i still, from time to time, have anxiety and find myself checking on him in the middle of the night.

  • We have a video monitor that can connect to our TV. Sometimes we leave the TV on so we can watch him all night. We can even see his chest rise and fall with each breath. When we don't do that, we have an audio monitor that we leave on.

Also, his room shares a wall with ours, so that helps, too.

  • His crib is not even 3 feet away from our bed. As much as I love having him so close to us, sometimes I wish he had his own room, because he's a VERY LOUD SLEEPER who's snores wake me up more often than DH's snores.

This. I don't know what I would have done without it!

  • ummm..I just do it.

I don't know how, but I simply don't worry about him.  I figure the crib is one of the safest places he can possibly be.  We don't even use a monitor.  I hear him if he cries.

  • Usually, I am so exhausted by the time I go to bed that I just crash and we have a monitor right by my ear so I wake up even if he makes the slightest noise. It was really hard at first but now I am a little more comfortable letting him sleep in his crib. I confess that I do go in and check on him if I wake up to go to the bathroom or something and before I go to sleep.
